To my mind there is only one major disadvantage to online studying or distance learning and that is that the student has to be extremely self-disciplined. It is by far easier to make progress when your lessons are given in a classroom. When you’re on your own it’s very easy to give up when the going gets tough because there are no tutors or classmates to help pull you through and no one but yourself to ensure you do the work.
